We regard Interior Design as an important and integral part of the project and work closely with our clients to ensure that we have provided the optimum solution. Through the use of the latest Revit 3D software we can provide interior views which can be developed with the client through the design development stage. Depending on the client’s wishes interior design can be dealt with by Morgan Architects in house or in collaboration with the clients own specialist consultant as is often the case in retail design.

BIM is an acronym for Building Information Modelling, or Building Information Model. It describes the process of designing a building collaboratively using one coherent system of computer models rather than as separate sets of drawings. It offers enormous gains in saving in cost and time, much greater accuracy in estimation, and the avoidance of error, alterations and rework due to information loss. Dynamic information about the building, such as sensor measurements and control signals from the building systems, can also be incorporated within BIM to support analysis of building operation and maintenance.

Morgan Architects is fully BIM compliant and uses the latest Revit 3D software to achieve an optimum design solution in all projects.

Under the Safety health and Welfare at Work (Construction) Regulations it is necessary in most cases for a client to appoint competent contractors and professionals including the appointment of a Project Supervisor for the Design Process (PSDP) and Project Supervisor Construction Stage (PSCS).

We confirm that Morgan Architects is an architectural practice registered with the Royal Institute of the Architects of Ireland (RIAI) , this being a qualification listed in Directive 384/85/EEC of the European Community and as defined by the Building Control Act 2007 and as such can be considered to meet the criteria of ‘competent’ as required to perform the duties of PSDP as defined under the regulations.

On the 1st March 2014, new regulations (S.I. 9 of 2014) relating to the commencement and certification of  construction works come into effect. For certain building works, the new regulations require that certificates of 
compliance and other documents must be submitted with the Commencement Notice.
The additional requirements also include:

• the nomination of a competent ‘Assigned Certifier’ to inspect and certify the works,
• the assignment of a competent builder to carry out the works,
• the submission of certificates of compliance on completion.
